Pieris japonica 'Forest Flame'
Forest Flame Pieris
Forest Flame Pieris is an evergreen shrub with a striking sequence of new-leaf colors. Young growth opens bright red, passes through pink and cream, and finally becomes green.
Branched clusters of small, cream-colored bells appear in spring. With room to develop, its tall, leafy structure can anchor a border of other plants that prefer acidic soil.
Plant in sun or partial shade with acidic soil rich in organic matter. Maintain drainage and protect young plants from severe winter exposure.
