Pinus kwangtungensis
Kwangtung Pine
Guangdong White Pine (Pinus kwangtungensis) carries needles with an unusual three-sided color pattern. Two faces are glossy green and the third is bluish gray, blending into a rich blue-green effect across the tree.
Its upright growth and light brown cones give it interest beyond foliage color alone. Leave space for the framework to continue rising and widening as this uncommon Chinese pine develops.
Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
