Pinus mugo 'Aurea Fastigiata'
Mugho Pine
Aurea Fastigiata Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo ‘Aurea Fastigiata’) adds seasonal color to a dense, upright framework. Light green needles through spring and summer turn yellow in winter, changing the plant’s appearance when much of the garden is quiet.
Growth is slow, and the outline broadens into a pyramid. Use it as a small vertical accent where its winter foliage can be seen against a darker background.
Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
