Pinus Syl. Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill Scotch Pine

Beacon Hill Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris ‘Beacon Hill’) is a dwarf selection with a broad, flattened globe shape. Short blue-green needles cover its dense branches, creating a low evergreen feature with a cool color cast.

Its framework came from a witch’s-broom mutation found in British Columbia. The spreading outline works well among rocks or at the front of a planting, where it has room to broaden without being hidden.

Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
