Polystichum polyblepharum 'Tassel Fern'
Korean tasselfern
Tassel Fern develops a neat, vase-shaped crown of glossy, finely divided fronds. The dark foliage creates a polished evergreen accent in a shaded planting.
Emerging fronds briefly bend backward as they open, forming the tassels that give the plant its name. Golden hairs and scales are especially noticeable on young growth before the fronds straighten and settle into their mature outline.
Provide partial or full shade and moist, organic-rich soil with good drainage. Short dry periods are tolerated, but standing water can damage the crown.
