Prunus Mt Fuji
Mt. Fuji Cherry
Mount Fuji Flowering Cherry (Prunus serrulata ‘Shirotae’) develops a broad canopy with strong horizontal branching. White flowers hang in small clusters before the leaves appear, giving the spreading outline a layered display.
The blooms are usually semi-double on established trees and may become pinkish before the petals fall. Young trees can produce simpler flowers. Leave generous room for the crown, which can grow wider than standard garden estimates.
Choose sun or partial shade. Monitor foliage and young growth for insect damage.
