Prunus serrulata 'Royal Burgundy'

Royal Burgandy Cherry

Royal Burgundy flowering cherry adds deep purple foliage to the double-flowered character of Kwanzan. Dark pink blossoms stand against the emerging canopy, while its broad vase shape gives the tree a strong garden outline.

The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes purple and bronze. Allow the natural framework to develop without crowding neighboring plants or paths.

Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and allow enough room for the developing crown.
