'Highbeam' Overcup Oak

Highbeam overcup oak develops upright branches around a strong central trunk. Its glossy green leaves turn yellow, red and bronze in fall, then drop relatively cleanly. Scaly gray-brown bark and the branching pattern remain visible in winter.

Grow in full sun. It tolerates a range of moisture conditions, with well-drained soil a suitable starting point. Train young trees to retain a central leader.
