Green Pillar Pin Oak
Green Pillar pin oak has a narrow columnar crown with steeply ascending branches. Dark green leaves turn deep red to scarlet in fall. Small spring catkins are inconspicuous, and brown acorns provide food for wildlife.
Plant in full sun with acidic soil. It tolerates moist or periodically wet ground. Calcareous soil can cause severe iron chlorosis, so soil suitability matters even where space is limited.
