Rhododendron Mary Fleming

Mary Fleming Rhododendron

Mary Fleming (Rhododendron ‘Mary Fleming’) is an evergreen rhododendron with white flowers. Its display arrives in the early-to-middle part of the rhododendron flowering season, with the exact timing influenced by local weather. Individual flowers measure about 1 inches across. The blooms open with a bell-like outline. Wavy petal edges give the clusters additional texture.

Its foliage is retained through winter, keeping a leafy framework between flowering seasons. Cool-season foliage can develop bronze tones. Its low early growth makes it useful near the front of a planting where the flowers remain easy to see.

This cultivar tolerates sun, with light shade useful in hotter positions. Provide acidic, humus-rich soil with good drainage, maintain moisture during dry weather and keep mulch away from the stems.
