Rudbeckia speciosa Viette Little Suzy
Viette Little Suzy Cone Flower
Viette’s Little Suzy Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Blovi’) makes a cheerful clump of golden flowers with deep brown eyes. Its smaller framework offers the warm colors of larger rudbeckias in a planting that fits more comfortably toward the front or middle of a border.
Hairy leaves fill out the base, while branched stems carry flowers from the middle of summer into early fall. The plant spreads by underground stems, gradually building a fuller patch where growing conditions suit it.
Provide sun or light shade and soil that holds some moisture without staying waterlogged. Water new plants regularly while roots establish.
