Corkscrew Willow turns its bare winter branches into the main attraction. The stems bend and twist through an oval to rounded crown, creating a pattern that is easier to see once the leaves have fallen.
The tree gains height quickly but is generally short-lived. Its curled framework makes a distinctive specimen where winter branch character is valued and future replacement can be accommodated.
Choose a sunny position. This selection tolerates dry conditions better than many willows, although that comparison does not make it a desert tree.
