Autumn Fire stonecrop (Sedum ‘Autumn Fire’) forms a sturdy upright clump of thick green leaves. Broad clusters of rosy pink flowers develop late in the season, giving the border fresh color as many earlier perennials finish.
The substantial foliage provides structure before flowering, and the dried flower heads can remain for winter interest. Its compact, upright habit is useful in repeated groups or beside finer-textured plants.
Plant in full sun with well-drained, average to lean soil. Rich ground and excessive feeding can encourage weak growth. Water during establishment; mature clumps tolerate dry conditions.
