Purple Emperor Stonecrop makes a strong foliage accent with broad, fleshy leaves in a deep purple shade. Dark red stems support the clump and reinforce its rich coloring.
Rounded heads of pale pink-purple flowers appear in late summer. The contrast between light flowers and dark leaves gives this perennial a clear place near lighter foliage or at the front of a sunny border.
Grow in full sun with well-drained soil. Avoid a site where water collects around the roots.
