Spirea bumalda Darts Red
Darts Red Spirea
Dart's Red Spirea adds vivid carmine-red flower clusters to the midsummer garden. Its pointed leaves show reddish tones as they emerge, then form a leafy backdrop for the blooms.
The compact, bushy plant fits readily into a mixed border or a group planting. Its modest size allows the flowers and changing new growth to be viewed near a path or seating area.
Grow in sun or partial shade in soil that drains well. Keep new plants watered as their roots establish, and leave room for the mature spread.
