Spirea japonica Golden Princess
Golden Princess
Golden Princess Spirea brings changing foliage color to a compact shrub. New leaves begin with reddish bronze tones, brighten to gold through summer, and take on red again in autumn.
Flattened clusters of rosy pink flowers appear in late summer. The combination of gold foliage and pink bloom makes this a useful accent among green-leaved shrubs and perennials.
Grow in sun or partial shade in soil that drains well. Keep new plants watered as their roots establish, and leave room for the mature spread.
