Styrax obassia
Fragrant Snowbell
Fragrant snowbell (Styrax obassia) combines large leaves with hanging clusters of scented white flowers. The canopy becomes rounded as it ages; flowers may be partly concealed by foliage, rewarding a closer view.
Its structure combines upright growth and upright growth. Growth is moderate. The leaves are shed for winter. Autumn foliage can bring yellow tones.
Choose a site in full sun or partial shade. Provide acidic, humus-rich, well-drained soil and maintain even moisture.
