Syringa hybrid Bailbelle

Bailbelle Lilac

Tinkerbelle Lilac (Syringa ‘Bailbelle’) develops a compact, rounded shape with dark green oval leaves. Dark red buds open into small clusters of pale pink, fragrant flowers in late spring and early summer.

The contrast between unopened buds and lighter flowers adds depth to the display. Its restrained proportions suit smaller shrub borders and specimen positions near paths, where the scent can be appreciated.

Give it fertile soil that drains well and is neutral to alkaline. A sunny position supports the strongest flowering; water while the roots establish and mulch without burying the stems. Prune just after flowering if shaping is needed.
