Syringa x hyacinthiflora 'Pocahontas'
Pocahontas Lilac
Pocahontas Hyacinth Lilac opens fragrant clusters of single purple flowers in mid-spring. The broad flower heads rise above leaves that begin with bronze tones before becoming green.
This substantial shrub develops an upright, spreading framework. Purple autumn foliage adds a later seasonal change, making it useful where both spring flowers and fall color can be appreciated.
Grow in sun with fertile, well-drained soil that is neutral to alkaline. Leave adequate space for the branching structure.
