Nutans Taxodium

Nodding Pond Cypress (Taxodium ascendens ‘Nutans’) forms a pyramidal tree with branch tips that turn downward. Green foliage gives the crown a soft texture through the growing season before changing to warm bronze and orange in fall.

Unlike an evergreen conifer, it sheds its foliage for winter. Rounded cones add another feature among the branches, while the drooping tips give the framework a relaxed finish around the upright trunk.
