Cascade Falls bald cypress (Taxodium distichum ‘Cascade Falls’) develops strongly weeping branches clothed in fine, soft foliage. Fresh yellow-green growth deepens in summer, then turns orange and brown before dropping in autumn.

Training determines its silhouette: a supported leader creates height, while unsupported growth arches and trails downward. The bare winter branches remain an important part of its sculptural character.

Provide adequate moisture and room for the trained framework. Bald cypress grows well in wet ground as well as ordinary garden soil; avoid strongly alkaline sites.
