Spring Grove Western Arborvitae
Spring Grove arborvitae (Thuja plicata ‘Grovepli’) is a fast-growing evergreen with glossy dark green foliage and a close, pyramidal outline. It was selected for holding good foliage color through cold winters.
Its upright growth is useful for substantial privacy screens and evergreen backgrounds. The grower reports improved deer resistance, though browsing can still depend on local conditions. Allow for both its height and its eventual width.
Plant in sun or partial shade with moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Water consistently during establishment and give each tree enough space to develop its natural outline.
