Tsuga canadensis Bennett
Bennetts Weeping Hemlock
Bennett Canadian Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis ‘Bennett’) forms a low, broad shrub with a softly layered appearance. Branches spread horizontally or arch slightly, carrying foliage that can become especially dark green in a shaded position.
Its dwarf framework is useful beneath a more open canopy or beside stones, where the sideways growth can be appreciated. Allow plenty of width so the natural layering does not need to be crowded or clipped away.
Grow in sun or partial shade. Choose soil that drains freely and water during establishment.
