New Horizon elm is a cold-tolerant hybrid with a broadly upright, oval crown. Dark green leaves turn yellow in autumn, and its disease tolerance supports use as a substantial landscape or street tree.

The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes yellow. The grower reports tolerance of Dutch elm disease and phloem necrosis.
