Prospector elm develops a broad vase shape while still relatively young. Glossy deep green leaves and yellow autumn color accompany tolerance of Dutch elm disease and resistance to elm leaf beetle feeding.
The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes yellow. The grower reports tolerance of Dutch elm disease and phloem necrosis. It is also selected for resistance to elm leaf beetle feeding.
Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and allow enough room for the developing crown.
