Pragense Viburnum
Prague viburnum (Viburnum × pragense) is a dense evergreen shrub with glossy, textured leaves. Pink buds open into broad clusters of creamy white, lightly fragrant flowers in spring.
Its rounded to oval framework is useful for screening and substantial foundation beds. Berries add seasonal interest; at the coldest edge of its range, severe winters can damage stems even when roots survive.
Grow in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil and regular water during establishment. Allow for its broad mature size and possible winter stem damage in exposed cold sites.
