Wine & Roses weigela (Weigela florida ‘Alexandra’) pairs dark purple leaves with rosy pink trumpet-shaped flowers. Its upright shrub form provides a strong contrast to green or silver foliage in a mixed planting.

The main late-spring display may be followed by additional flowers in summer. Hummingbirds visit the tubular blooms, and the leafy branches can also be used in arrangements.
