Prunus salicina 'Brook Gold'
Japanese Plum
Brookgold plum produces golden-yellow fruit with tender skin and sweet flesh. White flowers appear early in spring, and fruit commonly ripens in August. The fruit can be used fresh or preserved.
Grow in full sun with moist, well-drained soil. It needs a compatible pollinating plum nearby that flowers at the same time. Confirm the partner variety with the supplier.
This selection was introduced from the fruit research station at Brooks, Alberta.
