A distinctive European hornbeam grown for its naturally rounded, globe-shaped canopy, most often grafted on a standard. Bright green, pleated leaves emerge in spring, remain dense and tidy through summer, and turn yellow to amber-brown in fall, often persisting into winter. Smooth gray bark and a formal, architectural form provide year-round structure with minimal training.
