Kihachijo Japanese Maple

The Ki-hachijo Japanese Maple is a graceful small tree, maturing to  15 to 20 ‘ tall and 15 feet wide. It rounded crown is distinctly layered and the trunk has white vertical lines adding interest to this already elegant maple. The serrated  leaves of the KI hachijo are narrow finger like with 7 lobes, giving them a soft lacy appearance, while they stay durable and heat resistant. Fall color consists of bright orange,  yellow, gold, and red Unique lacy edges on deeply-lobed leaves. Performs best in sun with afternoon shade to prevent leaf scorch.
