A highly regarded sweet cherry cultivar known for its large, firm, bright red fruit with rich, sweet flavor and excellent shelf life. Sweetheart is valued for both fresh eating and commercial quality. When grafted onto semidwarf rootstock (such as Gisela series), it produces a manageable tree size ideal for home orchards, patios, and small edible landscapes.
